Daring communication in Athens

Yannis Markopoulos is not simply a capital for our country, not just a big composer. He is also one of the few pioneers in the Greek musical scene. And his avant-garde it is because that he dares always.
He joined the Greek traditional music with the electronic perceptions of Yannis Christou, the traditional songs of Crete (“Rizitika”) with the sounds of today, some medieval melodies with the hearings of our century…

In the means of 80’s he dared to mix the modern poetry with rock music, teaching how that today we call “Greek rock” must be sound.
The “Daring Communication” concerts in ancient Herodio theater -where Pavlos Seidiropoulos and the group “Nei Epivates” sung and recited poems of Dimitris Varos, from the book “Thirasia”- marked as one of the most important musical makes of that season.

The concert recorded live and was released as a music CD titled “Dared Communication”. The songs of Dimitris Varos also appear on the CDs “Electric Theseus” and “Unities”.
