	Requiem for Parnitha

........	Summer 2007. The “phenomenon of greenhouse” enters in the phase “of no return” and Greece pays the price: In two months an enormous part of her remaining forests was burned down. Between them, the famous “national park” of Parnitha with 3 million trees (is one of the richest in Greece, boasting 818 recorded plant species, certain among which are endemic or listed as critically endangered) and incalculable number species protected under law both at a national and international level.
